GARCINIA AND THE CLEAN 9 DIET

I read something in today's national newspaper that prompted me to write again about Garcinia and the Clean 9 Diet.

You might have seen my February post about Garcinia being a key ingredient of Clean 9. Well, so it is - and I'm so thankful for it!

Why? Well, because the feature I just read in the DAILY MAIL reminded me all too graphically of the dangers of some so-called 'diet pills'!

Under the heading 'How Pot Of £25 Diet Pills I Bought Online Could Have Cost Me My Life', Natalie Penney told how the T5s she bought from a private seller on Amazon when she was 19 landed her in hospital after she collapsed, suffering from shaking, sweating and palpitations. The doctors found she had severe heart abnormalities - and said the tablets she had taken as a teenager had ended up permanently damaging her health.

Apparently the tablets known as T5s are legal in the UK as long as they don't contain banned substances. The feature states: 'However, bogus retailers sometimes sell pills that contain either ephedrine or amphetamine - stimulants which boost weight loss. They raise heart rate and blood pressure and can increase the risk of otherwise healthy people having a heart attack or stroke.

Miss Penney stopped taking the pills after six weeks. However she noticed she was struggling to sleep and her heart would often be racing. Two years after her brief experiment with diet pills she collapsed and was rushed to hospital, where doctors told her she was suffering from atrial tachycardia, or an abnormal and increased heart rhythm.

When they analysed her diet pills they found they contained a stimulant called ephedrine, which is illegal in the UK. Now Miss Penney has spoken out to warn others not to risk their health.

She said: "I hope others can learn from my mistake. Somebody could take one dodgy diet pill and be paying the price for the rest of their life."

Her warning comes after Eloise Aimee Parry, 21, was killed last month by a dose of eight diet pills which contained the pesticide DNP. A subsequent Daily Mail investigation found the deadly pills were still widely available on the internet, selling for as little as 70p each.'
